Overview

Salary- $80,000

$15,000 sign on bonus

The Clinical Director is accountable for the clinical services and daily operations at a designated outpatient clinic site, in coordination with the Clinic Administrator and the Family Continuity Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the adequacy and appropriateness of clinical care at the assigned clinic site.

  • Train staff and ensure implementation of all policies and procedures in the assigned clinic site.

  • Liaison to other community providers and related agencies and develop community resources, as needed. Represent Family Continuity at community events, work groups and related venues and initiatives.

  • Ensure adequate clinical staff through interviewing, hiring, and initiatives to retain high quality, well performing staff. In collaboration with the Clinic Administrator, establish job descriptions and staff assignments. Complete employee status forms upon hire, change of status, and resignation.

  • Maintain staffing schedule to meet volume and program demands. Authorize requests for time off, change in status, time sheets, payroll, and mileage.

  • Coordinate office assignments for all clinic staff at the assigned clinic site.

  • Provide focused leadership, supervision, and support to supervisors, clinicians and other program staff. Ensure supervision is provided to all staff and documented, in accordance with policies and procedures and related regulations.

  • Develop an in-service training program and schedule for professional staff, in collaboration with the FC Leadership team.

  • Assume responsibility for overall staff performance. Complete performance reviews of Team Leaders and other supervisees, and ensure that performance reviews are completed for all FC staff at the assigned clinic site.

  • Ensure that there is adequate psychiatric staffing and that the psychiatry and psychopharmalogical needs of persons served are being met, in conjunction with the FC Medical Director and Clinic Administrator, and in compliance with licensing regulations applicable to the clinic site.

  • Manage and respond to concerns, feedback, or complaints from customers, funders, community partners or other parties with promptness, curiosity, and respect.

  • Develop and maintain a quality management program, including outcomes measurement and program evaluation, and lead quality improvement initiatives to continuously improve delivery of services and related systems and processes, in conjunction with the Clinic Administrator, the BH QM Team, and the FC Leadership Team.

  • Provide administrative oversight by convening staff meetings and other venues needed to manage the assigned clinic site.

  • Supervise Operations staff at the assigned clinic site and oversee daily operations including but not limited to opening and closing, intake, scheduling, and the flow of persons served through the clinic.

  • Assist the Clinic Administrator in monitoring and managing program budgets and financial performance of the assigned clinic site.

Qualifications

  • MA/MS/MSW or doctoral degree with a minimum of five years of clinical, operational, and supervisory experience.

  • Massachusetts independent practice licensure in Mental Health Counseling or Social Work.

  • Minimum of six years experience in providing treatment within an outpatient/residential setting.

  • Strongly prefer that a candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.

  • Demonstrate a proactive commitment to maintaining effective communication with staff and customers to facilitate and promote effective working relationships and customer service.

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to read and speak English.

  • Must have valid driver’s license and access to auto.
