Actalent Cost Controller in Whiting, Indiana

Description:

  • Assist with bid package preparation and contractor selection.

  • Conduct post bid verification (including quantity/rate check and award recommendation).

  • Track and analyze project costs (including budgets, commitments, actuals, accruals, and forecasts).

  • Analyze the forecast to budget and estimate, forecast to actuals, and contingency analysis.

  • Develop, track, analyze, forecast, and process on site field changes.

  • Responsible for performing weekly contractor meeting to review, negotiate, and approve change orders before submitting to procurement.

  • Assist with cost report preparation and provide input with contractor forecasting.

  • Create, maintain, and repost earned value progress measurement for unit rate contracts.

  • Review and comment on both the master schedule and contractor specific work schedules.

  • Guide and support the close out of contracts to ensure all necessary documentation is complete with relevant back charges applied.

     Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction or related field.

  • 5+ years experience

  • Experience in semi-conductor manufacturing is a plus.

  • Expertise in Excel (producing reports and graphs).

  • Familiarity with P6 and Microsoft Project schedules is a plus.
