Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Training & Development Coordinator to join our team! In this role you will get to play an integral role in improving the development and advancement of the organization's employees.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assess project needs to drive training and development initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees that lead to certificates and certifications.

  • Creatively design and implement effective methods to enhance skills, training and opportunity.

  • Working collaboratively with individuals to advance their development plans and identify specific training opportunities, skills development programs, on-the-job training, apprenticeships, or other activities that lead to certifications or certificates for Parsons project staff.

  • Review professional development needs on a continual basis for individuals as their roles evolve

  • Collaborates with Yukon Government, Yukon University and other local education institutions to identify and encourage availability of programs or courses necessary for local residents to gain certification, certificates and other formal credentials.

  • Review individuals’ development plans and progress quarterly and assist staff to identify personal goals, roles of interest, and the training/mentoring required for advancement and progression.

  • Promotes and encourages partnerships with local education and training institutions for work experience and/or job placement and job readiness programs.

  • Promote the use of support services by providing information on-site related to the available programs and services.

  • Meet with Yukon Government to discuss certificate and accredited programs and service delivery plans and identify areas for collaboration.

  • Provide seminars on career development and pathways to success.

  • Plans, organizes, and facilitates employee development and training events.

  • Develops and maintains organizational communications such as internal bulletins, newsletters and other cooperate communications to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources available to them.

  • Leads the reporting of all training and development efforts and completions and evaluates and measures results of training initiatives and continually improves programs as needed.

  • Incorporates cultural understanding and awareness into all training and development initiatives.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.

  • Experience designing and implementing training and development programs.

  • Experience in education, training, skills development and mentorship programs or initiatives.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.

  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and culturally appropriate content and delivery.

  • Ability to design and implement effective education, training and development programs and initiatives.
