What you will do:

  • Maintain the existing facilities: janitorial duties of building, managing lawn maintenance contractors and other maintenance contractors as needed
  • Assists the Supervisor of Facilities with managing the administration and maintenance of all buildings, activities, pest control and lawn maintenance for the site.
  • Provides guidance to contractors working to keep grounds mowed and landscaped, janitorial, maintenance and repairs of conference center, pest control services, acting as liaison between contractors and site needs.
  • Assist in facility improvement projects and other programs with the Supervisor of Facilities.
  • Issue purchase orders and warehouse requisitions to maintain the daily functioning of the Conference Center.
  • Coordinate all functions at the Conference Center, to include: service award events, employee and local Christmas parties, civic organization events, weddings and other special events that are held at the Conference Center.
  • Manage all reservation requests for use of Conference Center, not limited to company functions, including any civic and non-profit organizations.
  • Coordinates catering menus and food preparation for less than 50 people on a regular basis. Schedules with caterer as needed.
  • Coordinate the configuration and operation of the audiovisual equipment at the Center.
  • Coordination of all community and employee focused events and activities which take place at White Springs. This activity is comprehensive, involving a wide-variety of employees, with assistance from site leadership.
  • Work directly with the Government and Industry Affairs Manager regarding activities that include members of the national, state, and local news media, elected officials at the federal, state, and local level, as well as a diverse segment of the general public. In this context, it is necessary for the employee to be able to communicate effectively and pleasantly with all groups involved and to convey to those individuals/groups, a genuine sincerity regarding the actions of the Company.
  • Assist Manager, Government and Industry Affairs with reporting and activity tracking relating to Community Relations and Investment Activities.
  • Support processing community donations, help develop new strategic partnerships and liaise with key stakeholders for the White Springs region.
  • Support our public relations efforts on occasion by setting up displays/booths for events and, at times, working the booth and providing information about our facility.
  • Review and support community donation requests and respond to community stakeholder inquires.
  • Plan, participate and implement community partnership activities.
  • Work collaboratively and provide expertise/support to help effectively execute shared, company-wide community outreach strategies.
  • Support cross-functional groups such as HR and Talent Attraction through recruiting events, career fairs, tours, etc.
  • Support in-kind donat ons and promotional item stocking.
  • Care for the display material inventory, requirements, and service relationship.
  • Assist with planning and facilitating employee volunteering activities.
  • Promote and communicate employee engagement programs.
  • Recommend engagement and recognition for internal and external community investment stakeholders.
  • Understand and explore investment opportunities within the community for possible donations.
  • Other duties as required.

What you will bring:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Must be skilled in audiovisual technology to operate our equipment for presentations to our employees and guests.
  • Must have general knowledge of electrical and mechanical skills to oversee the operation of the facility and make an initial assessment when system failures occur.
  • 3-5+ years of related experience in community engage mentor volunteer related service preferred.
