Westchester Jewish Community Services Social Worker - Health & Healing Services in White Plains, New York

Overview:

Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is seeking a Part-Time Social Worker for our Health & Healing Services program. This position offers up to 21 hours per week with a competitive compensation range of $30.00-$35.00/hour.

Responsibilities:

As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct intake and assessment sessions with referred clients.

  • Provide individualized care management as needed.

  • Facilitate individual and group sessions as needed.

  • Collaborate with synagogue staff and offer support as needed.

  • Provide assistance to Pathways to Care clients from the Rivertowns area.

  • Complete all required documentation, including monthly statistics, schedules, and surveys.

  • Refer clients to appropriate services such as home health care or clinical services.

  • Contribute to special projects and other tasks, as needed.

    Requirements:

    We are seeking candidates who have the following qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Social Work from an accredited school.

  • In-depth knowledge of aging, family dynamics, illness, and end of life, and bereavement issues.

  • Strong knowledge of community resources.

  • Reliable transportation to attend meetings and travel between programs.

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
