Details about this exciting opportunity:

  • Part Time (Up to 20 hours/week) position as a Community Habitual Worker available in White Plains, NY

  • Salary Range: $17-$20/hour

  • Hours are flexible

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Assisting with the development of the individuals’ Community Habilitation Plans.

  • Promoting individual’s chosen individualized outcomes that empower and enable individuals to achieve their stated goals.

  • Providing assistance, services and supports that promote independence and active participation in daily living within the residence.

  • Assisting in the development of social skills by providing education, training, and role modeling.

If you have the following:

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • 6-12 months experience working with adults with developmental disabilities.

  • Must have knowledge of basic residential services.

  • A Valid Driver’s License for over two years is a must.

And Attributes:

  • Able to participate in, pass and maintain certification of WJCS required training that includes but may not be limited to Medication Administration, SCIP, CPR/First Aid, Driving the Van and Mandatory Training as identified by OPWDD.
