Westchester Jewish Community Services Accounts Payable Intern in White Plains, New York

Details about this exciting opportunity:

  • Part-Time Paid Accounts Payable Intern to work in our Finance department located in our Headquarters in White Plains, NY.

  • This is a temporary position, expected to last one year.

  • 14-21 hours/week.

  • Compensation: $15.00-$15.50/hr.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Sort and distribute department mail.

  • Accounts payable invoice data entry to financial system.

  • Support the vendor set-up process.

  • Prepare checks for mailing.

  • Address program manager and vendor accounts payable inquiries.

  • Support annual audit requests as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

If you have the following:

Qualifications:

  • College work toward a degree in Finance or Accounting – Completion of Sophomore or Junior year.

  • Possesses a basic understanding of the functions of a Finance department.

And Attributes:

  • Attention to detail.

  • Teamwork and customer service focused.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy department with multiple responsibilities and deadlines.

  • Microsoft office skills – Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
