ManpowerGroup Controls Support Engineer in Whitakers, North Carolina

Our client, a leader in Engine, Filtration, and Power Distribution Design and Manufacturing is seeking a Controls Support Engineer to join their team. As a Controls Support Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering department supporting the Controls team. The ideal candidate will have Fanuc, Allen Bradley PLC, HMI, and controls experience which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Controls Support Engineer (long term contract)

Location: Rocky Mount, NC (onsite)

Pay: 40-55/hr depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop all aspects of control systems, equipment, and machinery

• Develop and implement bench tests and alter equipment to ensure that sensors and actuators are functioning according to specifications

• Lead the support and debugging of complex systems problems and change requests

• Prepare cost estimates, compile required cost and equipment information, and write and review appropriation requests

• Design and implement new Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) solutions, specify equipment and materials for projects, and help with installation, startup, troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance and operation.

Requirements

• Extensive experience can substitute for Degree. Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience as a Controls or Systems Engineer, or related position OR Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience as a Controls or Systems Engineer, or related position.

• Ability to prepare cost estimates; Programmable Logic Controller (PLC); Human-Machine Interfaces

• Understanding of Manufacturing processes and equipment; Vision Automation; Unix system and shop floor Linux administration;

• Understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems; Factory floor networking systems; Sensor Technology and Measurement.

• Experience with Fanuc, Allen Bradley PLC, HMI, and controls
