Overview

Our Human Resource Team is looking to hire a paid Summer Intern at our Whippany, NJ campus. This is a seasonal, full-time compensated position that offers exposure to and education on the Human Resources Business Partner role. This is a fantastic chance to discover how an HR department operates in a thriving pharmaceutical services provider organization. Our goal is for the internship to begin as soon as the spring semester ends in May and last through the end of August before the fall semester begins in September. This position is seen as a learning opportunity, requiring collaboration with peers and other HR team members.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with third-party agency (WAND) communication with contractors for such things as removal from accounts (RFA)

  • Prepare administrative offboarding materials and submit tickets; coordinate with HR Generalist, IT, and facilities teams as necessary.

  • Review, respond to, and update the ‘General Inquiries’ HR Email Box

  • Culture & Engagement: Support the HR team with culture initiatives and engagement activities such as mentorship program events, in-office teammate events, ERG events, and other corporate events during the summer.

  • Coordinate with managers to create rewards events in our employee recognition platform; Nectar

  • Under the guidance of the HR Director,coordinate the job description audit project and preparing slide decks for presentations.

  • Attend Human Resource Business Partner/Generalist meetings and events in supporting the Operations division.

  • Assist the HRG and the HR Manager as necessary with employee investigations and tasks.

Qualifications

  • Human Resources courses or related disciplines are desirable

  • Experience with Excel, and PowerPoint is highly desirable.

  • Active College Student sophomore year of college and above. A focus on business, communications, psychology, or similar. Human Resources courses are desired

  • Some work experience in a customer-facing role or prior office/professional internship experience is a plus.

  • Detail-oriented, interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, and collaboration

    Travel or Physical Requirements (if applicable):

  • Occasional inner-office travel may be required, potential local travel to job fairs/college recruiting events.
