Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an HR Specialist in the Financial Services industry, based in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. This role involves a range of HR responsibilities such as onboarding, processing background checks, handling workers' compensation and unemployment claims.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the company

• Responsible for processing background checks in compliance with company policies and legal requirements

• Handle workers' compensation claims, working closely with relevant parties to resolve issues and ensure fair outcomes

• Manage unemployment claims, including verification of claim details, record keeping, and communication with relevant authorities

• Utilize MS Office tools to create, update, and maintain accurate employee records

• Stay updated with compliance requirements and ensure that all HR processes adhere to these standards

• Assist in hiring processes, from job posting to interviewing and selection

• Administer benefits functions and compensation administration, ensuring employees are well-informed and queries are resolved promptly

• Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of HR policies and procedures

• Continuously improve HR procedures and processes, taking into account employee feedback and industry best practices. Requirements • Proven experience in the financial services industry

• Extensive knowledge of HR functions including hiring processes and onboarding

• Experience with benefits functions and compensation administration

• Familiarity with compliance in HR and financial operations

• Proficiency in handling unemployment and worker's compensation claims

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
