Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 annually
Coordinated Care Services Inc (CCSI) (https://positions.paylocity.com/PositionManagement/wizard/2033530) seeks a talentedSenior Consultant, Outsourced Controllerto contribute their expertise in providing essential business services to our provider organizations and customers. TheSenior Consultant, Outsourced Controlleris assigned to CCSI’s Consulting Division providing outsourced fiscal and quality improvement services for external customers. This position is responsible for assisting and collaborating with the Senior Advisor, Outsourced CFO to manage, coordinate and maintain quality standards in the area of virtual financial management and accounting services. This position will have a unique opportunity to participate in the design of accounting and financial reporting systems that are deployed across multiple consulting customers.
TheSenior Consultant, Outsourced Controllerwill play an integral subject matter expert role by assisting in designing, implementing, maintaining, and coordinating virtual financial recordkeeping, accounting, and CFO support for provider organizations. Related activities include but are not limited to collaborating with the Senior Advisor, Outsourced CFO on new proposals and budgets; developing charts of accounts, cost center structures, and accounting procedures; coordinating and supervising the deployment of outsourced and customer accounting staff to execute customer level accounting duties; auditing and monitoring the accuracy and quality of customer level financial statements, journal entries, accruals, and other reports; facilitating the month-end and year-end close process and engaging with customers to facilitate business process improvements where applicable.
In this role, you will be
Supervising and overseeing Accountant(s) staff serving customers and other projects.
Establishing and maintaining internal control policies and accounting procedures for consulting customers.
Working with Senior Advisor, Outsourced CFO in completing assessments and recommendations on customer financial and accounting operations.
Participating in various fiscal quality and process improvement projects designed to assess and enhance provider financial management practices.
Planning, organizing, and executing ground-up development of accounting structures, charts of accounts, and accounting policies for consulting customers.
Auditing customer-level financial statements, reconciling accounts, and assessing internal controls and workflows for accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Monitoring the quality and accuracy of accounting staff output.
Ensuring completion of all activities to complete month-end and year-end closings on multiple customers.
Assisting in developing and training other team members and client-level staff on appropriate and effective accounting methods.
Working with organizations' executive leadership and board of directors to create annual budgets that embody strategic planning and fiscal viability.
Ensuring all customers are executing and maintaining monthly closing and reporting schedules.
Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements and customized analytics for consulting customers and their management teams.
Overseeing activities of accounting staff as it relates to accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, and other balance sheet reconciliations.
Auditing monthly financial statements, and implementing corrective action, while maintaining high-quality standards.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in business management or accounting (Master’s Degree Preferred) and 6 years of senior financial management or senior accounting experience, or equivalent education and work experience (see CCSI's equivalency chart (https://www.ccsi.org/CCSI/media/pdfs/Equivalency-chart.pdf) ) with a focus on non-profit organizations, preferably in the behavioral health sector.
Strong understanding of grants management principles and experience with grant accounting and reporting.
Familiarity with braided funding models and the ability to effectively manage multiple funding streams.
Experience working with state-regulated oversight offices and knowledge of compliance requirements for non-profit organizations.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and other financial reporting tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
CPA or CMA is preferred, but not required.
