POSITION PROFILE

Contribute to unit sales, revenue, market share and profitability of the RLA CIP Group to achieve business goals. Planning Responsible for RLA Industrial Printing (IP) product marketing, consumable product marketing, competitive intelligence and management efforts for company specific products (Cut Sheet, Continuous Forms, Industrial and SW) that are sold and/or leased through all sales channels. Evaluate the potential impact of pricing initiatives from a marketing, financial and operational perspective, developing a balanced approach to accomplish multiple business objectives. Product Launch Manage the entire process of the product launch for IP by communicating fully with the Ricoh Company Limited/Ricoh US /Ricoh Distribution Center and the sales channels with the secured information of the product and the price. Analyzing each market segment where IP products participate. Responsible for the final edit and distribution of customer announcements including, pricing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and internal process. Analysis & Monitoring Responsible for managing, designing, implementing and maintaining databases Competitive Intelligence to effectively analyze marketing activity and trends of channel. Responsible for providing sales support for the price competitiveness as marketing function by monitoring the sales result and the competitors' trend. Promotion of Slow Moving Product Manage the IP inventory level of the current product prior to the launch of the new product Negotiation Prepare the proposal to negotiate with corporate pricing organizations (RUS/RPPS/Printronix) for the strategic support on product transfer costs so that attractive, competitive pricing can be offered without compromising revenue and profit margin objectives

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Planning

  • Propose the best positioning of the IP products from the competitiveness and profitability point of view.

  • Continuously reviewing the competitiveness of the products (Cut Sheet, Continuous Forms, Industrial and SW) in the market. Propose the necessary change of the PSI (forecast).

  • Reviewing with the RPPS team (Boulder), product configuration, tracking with RDC, pipe line review and pricing performance by product.

  • Product Launch

  • Supervise all aspects of the IP product launch process including pricing, sales support material, promotions, and programs which may need to complete the launch process.

  • Align IP product strategy and launch with RUS/RPPS & Printronix.

  • Analysis

  • Review reports for completeness, accuracy and significant occurrences. Identifies and investigates all significant deviations from commitment.

  • Analyze the competition's market pricing, activities and programs and develop countermeasures, incorporating new strategic ideas according to changes in the market environment.

  • Monitoring

  • Monitor the product performance to identify areas of opportunity and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing promotions and programs. This is a part of the business process of the business performance reporting activity.

  • IP reports includes:

  • Win and Lost (CS/CF/Industrial/SW)

  • Units placement

  • Units and models trends

  • Monthly analysis vs plan for all products (CS/CF/Industrial & SW)

  • Pipe line report for all products (CS/CF/Industrial/SW)

  • Promotion of Slow Moving Product

  • As needed, prepare and launch the promotion of the slow moving category product.

  • Develops the proposal of the strategic pricing and programs designed to increase sales of targeted products, grow overall revenue or improve Ricoh's competitive positioning.

  • Negotiation

  • Contribute to development of product specifications and requirements by defining customer requirements in terms of feature capability and negotiating with Product Management in the RUS/RPPS/Printronix to include new feature capability in future design phase.

  • Review with RUS/RPPS/Printronix pricing strategy and negotiations for all products.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in related field required

  • Previous product and marketing management experience required in the printing market

  • Must be experienced in setting goals by defining and prioritizing specific, realistic objectives.

  • Must have proven track record with a minimum of 5 years related experience.
