Are you interested in identifying and delivering disruptive cutting-edge vehicle system technologies?

What You Will Do You will be joining the core team developing advanced motion control systems of off-highway industrial machinery in the agriculture and construction industries, such as tractors, harvesters, dozers, excavators, etc . The work will include developing automated testing tools, scripts, and procedures to evaluate and validate the performance and quality of the code the team develops. You will support the development team with in field data collection required to aid with control system software and tools development as well as for use in your software testing efforts.

Assist the transition of testing from on-vehicle to HIL/SIL/MIL simulation environments in order to expedite development speed, improve quality, and reduce operating costs.

Develop and execute test plans/procedures at all levels of test: MIL/SIL, HIL and On-vehicle.

Help stand-up a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testbench and create HIL test procedures

Write model-/software-in-the-loop (MIL/SIL) test cases to improve overall test coverage

Conduct on-vehicle testing for plant model validation/development and to support RCCA analysis of difficult software functional and performance issues.

Collect vehicle data logs following rigorous test methodologies.

Develop data analysis scripts that present result in a clear, concise manner that enables developers to quickly understand your conclusions (issue, performance baseline, etc)

Working with C++, Python, Matlab/Simulink or other scripting languages to get the job done

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

5+ years with control system test experience for dynamic physical systems (e.g. ground vehicles)

Bachelor, Masters or higher Engineering degree is required in a related field such as Computer Engineering/Science, Robotics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering

Proficiency with Matlab/Simulink tools as well as scripting languages such as Python

Extensive experience with test, verification, validation and productization of algorithms

Strong experience with data collection and organization

Familiarity with data statistics and probability theory

Ability to travel (including international) up to 25% per year

Works closely with stakeholders and the development team to identify testing and validation requirement and objectives; drives to continuously improve testing workflows and processes

Effective analytical and problem solving skills

Effectively interact with a global team with excellent communication and documentation skills

Have problem-solving and time management skills with motivation and ability to work autonomously

Experience with J1939 or NMEA2000 CAN Communication

What Skills & Experience You Could Bring

12+ years of applicable work experience

Practical controls experience, in off-highway, automotive, aerospace or related

HIL and SIL testing, including familiarity with HIL testbench HW/SW (e.g. NI Veristand)

GNSS+IMU based navigation

Autonomous/Semi-autonomous vehicle control

Experience in safety-critical software development and familiarity with certification processes

Familiarity with testing tools and instrumentation sensors, e.g. potentiometers, hall effect sensors, accelerometers

Proficiency in effective test suite writing, demonstrating the ability to design comprehensive tests that maximize coverage and efficiency.
