Overview

Providing mission cyber security support for HQ Space Operations Command (SpOC) at Peterson SFB in analytical cyber security assessments and recommendations to include analysis and technical assessments.

The Cyber Analyst, Journeyman applies expertise and work experience executing cyber risk assessments to perform duties assigned by the Security Control Assessor (SCA) for Space mission systems. In this role, the Cyber Analyst, Journeyman will accomplish the following though are not limited * Provide recommendations to Division leadership on processes and methodologies to assess cybersecurity risk on information technology within the SCA s appointed authorization boundary. * Works with other Cyber Risk Analysts, SMEs, and SCARs to ensure that all cybersecurity analysis and cybersecurity risk assessments are completed with time and quality standards established by Division leadership and Task Lead * Determine system vulnerabilities and residual risk based on analysis of technical artifacts, interviews, and evaluation of current system state. * Evaluate effectiveness of proposed mitigations. Recommend technical/policy changes to mitigate cyber risk. * Salary ranges from 105k-120k (negotiable)

Responsibilities

  • BS or MS in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or equivalent required. Degrees may be substituted with additional 6 years of experience:
  • 5+ years experience in cyber risk assessment of Air Force/Space Force systems
  • Experience with eMASS desired
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook
  • Be able to multi-task in a tight deadline mission critical environment
  • Able to converse effectively both orally and in writing up and down the chains of command Clearance Level: Must have an active Top Secret clearance

Certification Requirement: IAT Level II: Security+CE, GSEC, CySA+, GICSP, CND, SSCP, or CCNA Security required

Qualifications

  • TS/SCI preferred from DoD
