Rate of Pay: $159,438.75-169,438.75 per Year. Standard company benefits.

Duties: The Optical Engineer will join as the camera design lead to an international engineering team dedicated to the development of the next generation of Survey, Construction and GIS positioning instruments; responsible for working with mechanical, electrical and software engineers to design and

deliver products capable of meeting customer driven market requirements in challenging customer environments; translation of marketing requirements to technical specifications; specification and design of camera systems including sensor, lens, and calibration procedures; coordination with mechanical, electrical and software teams to realize design; communication of technical results and constraints to other engineering disciplines, management and marketing; specification, execution and analysis of test plans for cameras at various stages of design; and advancement of design through mass production and customer shipment.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Optics/Photonics or related field and 8 years of experience in the job offered or in a Optical Engineer-related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

1) Optical lens design; 2) Stray light mitigation; 3) optics for visual odometry or related positioning systems; 4) experience bringing industrial cameras and laser systems to mass production; 5) Zemax software experience; 6) optical coating design and formulation; 7) working with and integrating with high precision Total Stations, laser scanners and GNSS systems; and 8) professional survey field and software workflows.
