Tenere Mold Maintenance Tech - 1st Shift in Westminster, Colorado

The Molding Maintenance Technician performs cleaning and maintenance of precision molds for plastic injection molding machines. This requires the ability to tear down and re-assemble molds in a safe and efficient manner according to ISO GMP, and OSHA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Tear down, clean, lubricate and reassemble molds in a safe and efficient manner according to procedures and processes.

Work closely with scheduling and Tool Room Manager to prioritize tool cleans based on up to date information.

Develop and document instructions for safe and efficient mold tear down, assembly, and cleaning.

Identify and label proper configuration of mold components for proper assembly of desired part.

Communicate with Tool Room, Production, and Engineering on damage to molds and/or updates to instructions.

Put pipes/fittings on mold and hydraulic lines, if needed.

Maintain proper date code information for all active tooling.

Perform normal preventative maintenance.

Properly move and place molds and components using appropriate equipment following proper lifting and handling techniques including the use of a forklift and overhead crane.

Complete all paperwork as required and document all preventative maintenance and mold repairs.

Maintain proper supply of inventory to perform tasks of position.

Able to multi-task and prioritize work.

Efficiency, organization, housekeeping, and safety are important.

Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

One to Three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Previous experience performing mechanical type duties preferred in the plastic injection molding industry

Demonstrated mechanical ability

Ability to apply lean manufacturing principles

EDUCATION High School Diploma or GED
