OpTerra Energy Services Land Agent II (US Wind) - EAST in Westminster, Colorado

What You Can Expect As a Land Agent II, you will support the Land Acquisition team to develop land acquisition strategies for greenfield projects, existing project initiatives, and the acquisition of projects dedicated to renewable energy. Every day you will organize and deliver compelling presentations to landowners and take ownership of assigned land acquisition projects by managing project timelines, meeting deadlines, defining clear project objectives. You will collaborate with the business development, legal, and project management teams to ensure the overall success of each land acquisition initiative.

Negotiate and acquire easements/leases for wind energy development and related agreements from project landowners with a comprehensive understanding of the terms and conditions of the Company's land agreements Engage with and assist the Land Advisor and Project Managers with surface use agreements and other issues as they arise Manage land inventory by communicating with landowners as necessary for the development team to prepare for construction of the wind project Stay up to date with applicable federal, state, or local regulations as they relate to the development of the wind project Ownership of assigned projects, including managing deadlines, multiple project objectives, project timelines, and success criteria for each

What You Will Bring

A minimum of a four-year degree and two (2) years of experience in Land Acquisition in the energy industry; in lieu of a degree, a minimum of a total of four (4) years of experience in Land Acquisition will be considered You have obtained source documentation needed for easements or leases from public records located in county courthouses or abstract offices You have organized documents, records, and files pertaining to each project and landowner assigned to you You have managed land inventory by communicating with landowners for the development team to prepare for construction of projects You understand real estate matters and stay up to date with applicable federal, state, or local regulations as they relate to the development of the projects

Additional Details Must be available to travel domestically up to 60% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record; for car rentals or personal vehicle while performing company business Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Compensation Salary Range: $84,000 - $128,800 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate. Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
