Job Description:

The Application Integration Engineer plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining seamless integration solutions for software applications within the organization's IT ecosystem, emphasizing Oracle Cloud and other cloud technologies such as ServiceNow, SailPoint, Okta, and Azure. This specialized position requires a blend of technical expertise in cloud services, software development, and a deep understanding of integration principles to ensure effective communication, data sharing, and functionality across diverse applications.

Applications Integration Engineer

Hiring Salary Range: $100,000-$135,000

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary outside of the posted hiring salary range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.

Responsibilities:

  • Oracle Cloud Integration: Design and develop robust integration solutions leveraging Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, including Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), to connect disparate on-premises and cloud-based applications. Utilize Oracle-specific tools and APIs to facilitate efficient data exchange and process orchestration.

  • Generic Cloud Integration: Design and develop robust integration solutions to connect disparate on-premises and cloud-based applications and services. Utilize open-source and proprietary tools and APIs to facilitate efficient data exchange and process orchestration.

  • Technical Expertise: Maintain expert knowledge of Oracle Cloud technologies and capabilities, applying best practices in API management, middleware configuration, and security to build scalable and secure integration solutions.

  • Collaboration and Liaison: Act as the primary liaison between IT teams and business units for Oracle Cloud integration projects. Work closely with business analysts, administrators, and systems analysts to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.

  • Testing and Optimization: Lead the testing and quality assurance processes for Oracle Cloud integration solutions, ensuring compatibility, performance, and security. Continuously monitor integrated systems, identifying opportunities for optimization and enhancement.

  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create comprehensive documentation for integration architectures, configurations, and procedures specific to Oracle Cloud environments. Share knowledge and best practices with IT staff to enhance team capabilities and efficiency.

  • Regulatory Compliance and Security: Ensure that all Oracle Cloud integration activities adhere to relevant data protection, privacy regulations, and organizational policies. Implement robust security measures to safeguard data and systems.

  • Attain knowledge and remain knowledgeable of development in regulations, laws, standards, and best practices applicable to the functional area including, but not limited to, Standards of Conduct, Environmental, Employment Law, NERC Reliability Standards and Safety. Must be familiar with, and comply with, all aspects of Corporate Policy C-54, Compliance.

OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualifications:

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Oracle Cloud, ServiceNow, SailPoint) are preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

  • Deep knowledge of Oracle Cloud services and architecture, proficient in programming languages used in Oracle Cloud environments (e.g., Java, Groovy, PL/SQL)

  • Familiarity with Oracle-specific tools, APIs, and middleware. Understanding of RESTful and SOAP web services, and experience with cloud services beyond Oracle Cloud is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of relational and no-SQL databases.

  • Exceptional analytical abilities to troubleshoot integration issues, optimize system performance, and ensure reliable operation of integrated applications.

  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.

  • Ability to translate technical details into clear, actionable guidance for varied audiences.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple integration projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines within a dynamic project environment.

  • Familiarity with IAM processes and the Okta and SailPoint platforms configuration is highly desirable.

  • Strong focus on customer service.

  • Highly motivated and self-directed; able to effectively prioritize and execute while under pressure.

  • Highly adaptable and flexible; able to adjust quickly to new situations and changing priorities.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Experience

  • Six (6) years’ experience developing and supporting application integrations with both cloud based and hybrid solutions.

  • Strong background in application integration with specific experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)

  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and manage integration solutions in a complex Oracle Cloud environment

Other:

  • Willingness to travel as required. (Must possess a valid driver’s license.)

  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform all the essential functions of the position.

  • Position is hybrid, 50% at Headquarters in Westminster, CO. 50% remote. Employee must reside in Tri-State territory.
