Pittsburgh Glass Works Westland Entry Level Quality Inspector in Westland, Michigan

This is a long-term, full-time, direct hire position with Vitro, which will initially pay $14/hour. Positions available on all shifts. Corporate benefits, including medical, dental and vision coverage start the 1st of the month after the hire date.

Job Summary:This position also is required to assist with inspecting and packing glass to customer specifications, setting aside rejects or reworking glass.

Work Schedule: 8-hour shift assignment. Overtime may be required.

Education / Experience: A high school education, G.E.D, or related training/comparable work experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, SAFETY and WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Performs duties within normal manufacturing environmental conditions.

Will work in warm and/or cold conditions.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Must be able to push/pull, grip to use hand tools, reach, see, hear and speak.

Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

Associate must follow posted security procedures at all times while in the building.

Must follow all PPE requirements.
