Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. Tax Accountant in Westlake Village, California
JOB SUMMARY:
The Tax Accountant reports directly to the Vice President, Tax, and supports the Tax Director, Lead Tax Account and Tax Analyst.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

In performing functions, duties or tasks, associates are required to know and follow safe work practices, and to be aware of company policies and procedures related to job safety, including safety rules and regulations. All functions, duties or tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical and professional manner, and to be performed in conformance with applicable company policies and procedures. In the event of uncertainty or lack of knowledge of company policies and procedures, associates are required to request clarification or explanations from superiors or authorized company representatives.
Prepare federal, multi-state and city corporate estimated taxes, tax extensions and returns using OneSource Income Tax
Prepare and submit tax payment requests to Accounts Payable
Prepare and compile tax return and tax provision data and reports
Assist with federal, state, and local tax audits including researching tax issues, gathering information, preparing schedules, and communicating with tax authorities
Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax provisions
Responsible for meeting required deadlines
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY
Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field (business or finance)
Minimum 1 year of work experience with a CPA firm or a corporate accounting/tax department
Basic corporate income tax experience and desire to gain more tax experience
OneSource Income Tax compliance experience is preferred
Public accounting firm experience is a plus
Oracle experience is a plus
Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing ):
Intermediate Excel skills and proficient with spreadsheets
Basic Word and Outlook skills
Solid written and oral communication skills
Ability to process large amount of data with attention to detail
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently
Willingness to learn
