Charles Schwab Sr Manager, Software Development & Engineering Senior in Westlake, Texas

Duties : Lead cross-functional team discussions to define and develop implementation plans for product enhancements and delivery timelines. Involved in systems and software development lifecycle including working with product partners to refine requirements, systems analysis, design, implementation, integration with enterprise services, testing, deployment, maintenance, and operational excellence. Design, develop, and deploy cloud native front-end and micro services using web frameworks. Leverage internal cloud platforms to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure applications. Design, develop, and deploy single page web enabled applications providing a first-class experience for clients. Document and demonstrate solutions by creating presentations, flowcharts, capture operational metrics, and code comments. Train and mentor junior level engineers through coaching, training, and skill development. Assist in maintaining and reviewing application code quality, performance, security, and resiliency through thorough code analysis and implementation of code scanning tools. Perform system diagnostics and application monitoring. Position allows for partial remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Salary: $156,200 to $246,800 per year

What you have

Job Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field plus 5 years of progressive, post-bachelor’s related experience.

Experience must include some experience in each of the following skills: Microsoft .NET and .NET Core Frameworks (C#); ASP.NET MVC, CSS, HTML, Javascript, ReactJS, Angular, or StencilJS; REST or SOAP Webservices; Code collaboration & version control tools: TFS, Bitbucket/Git, Jira, or Confluence; Application Monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Kibana; and CICD tools such as TFS, Bamboo, or Jenkins.
