Architect and develop effective solutions that are in line with the organization's vision. Actively participate in product design and development sessions. Provide direction to less experienced Software Engineers. Develop architectural diagrams/documents, develop software codes and automated test scripts. Write efficient, easy to follow technical documentation. Act as liaison between technical and non-technical counterparts. Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies. Partner with product owners and the scrum team to understand the desired solution requirements and capabilities. Develop effective solutions that are in line with the organization's vision. Continuously improve software engineering practices, processes and services. Participate in strategic planning discussions with technical, business and client stakeholders. Actively participate in product design and development sessions. Work with, mentor and guide developers across geographical boundaries. Develop efficient and easy to follow technical diagrams/documents, develop high quality code and automated test scripts. X Position allows for 100% remote work. Reports to company HQs in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.

Salary: $171,683.00 - $246,800.00

What you have

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and 72 months of progressive, post-Bachelor’s related experience in a related occupation.

Experience must include the following: Develop java-based applications by following J2EE design patterns and coding guidelines; Develop RESTful microservices using Java with Spring Boot; Develop JPA based repositories using Spring Boot 2.0+; Develop distributed messaging services for event driven architecture to allow communication between multiple services using RabbitMQ; Develop test automation using Cucumber; Maintain code using version control system GIT and build in CI/CD automation pipeline using Bitbucket; and Develop, run, and test Spring Boot Java applications using IntelliJ.
