Position Overview

The Construction Technology Support Specialist I is part of a team focused on leveraging Construction Technology on machines for Kiewit operators. This team is primarily focused on enabling project and user success through the commissioning, configuration, and customization of platforms such as Trimble Earthworks, GCS900, Worksmanager, Caterpillar Grade Control, and most other commonly used platforms in the Construction Technology Market. This position supports operations in all Kiewit markets and will report to the Construction Technology Operations Manager.

District Overview

Kiewit Construction Technology (KCT) is on the leading edge of construction technology. Our goal is to provide the Kiewit projects with a support network throughout their entire utilization of Construction Technology, effectively increasing productivity with support and training while cutting costs to the project due to our unique rent model.

Location

This role is based out of our Fort Worth, TX office.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct machine and application support to Kiewit personnel

• Provide support services via direct user contact, phone, and remote admin tools

• Responsible for entering, updating, and closing workorders

• Provide training to craft and staff personnel physically and virtually

• Trouble shooting systems and applications while working with vendors as needed to resolve

• Install and track software/hardware on Kiewit Equipment

• Assist with gathering project requirements and implementation

• Assist with maintaining updated technical documentation

• Abide by Kiewit and project safety guidelines where necessary

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with users and management

• Proficient using Microsoft Suite and other data entry software

• Relevant Construction Technology execution experience (preferred)

• Previous technical experience with software/hardware troubleshooting and installation

• Previous technical experience for 3D machine control and RTK GNSS (preferred)

• Fast learner with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Highly motivated and self-directed with strong communication skills

• Goal oriented and proficient multi-tasking skills
