AHRC Suffolk is a non-profit agency that is dedicated to applying its resources toward improving the lives of people with intellectual and development disabilities. The agency provides opportunities for attaining the highest level of personal growth and development through coordinated and individualized services.

The Program Assistant provides clerical support to programs within the agency, while projecting a professional agency image through in-person and phone interaction.

Role Responsibilities:

 Maintain and update procedure manual.

 Assist with training covering staff.

 Provide clerical support to various programs.

 Sort and distribute incoming mail.  Participate in monthly meetings.

 Support front desk as needed, answering phone and greeting guest.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or GED

  • Must possess Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

  • NYS Driver's License with satisfactory driving record

  • Readiness to learn and utilize relevant agency computer applications.
