Viability Human Resources Generalist in Westfield, Massachusetts

Position: Human Resources Generalist – Full Time

Location: Westfield, MA

Hours: 40 hours per week

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Summary:

  • The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Human Resources team in supporting all locations. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, leave of absence, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, safety, and compliance.

Essential Duties

  • Is a consultant to the Chief People Officer, leadership team, and employees on HR related issues.

  • Is a change agent and employee champion, continually assessing and anticipating HR-related needs.

  • Formulates partnerships across the HR functions to deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.

  • Takes an active role in developing new concepts, according to Viability’s and employee’s needs, promoting high customer satisfaction.

  • Schedules, prepares, and facilitates New Employee Orientation.

  • Consults on HR topics while demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the business and its strategies.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred; Associates Degree in Business Administration/Human Resources or High School Diploma and 2-4 years of relevant HR experience required.

  • Ability to maintain focus on quality while keeping a strong sense of urgency.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in data entry utilizing software, to include Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, ADP, and email essential.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
