Position: Human Resources Generalist – Full Time
Location: Westfield, MA
Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Summary:
- The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Human Resources team in supporting all locations. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, leave of absence, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, safety, and compliance.
Essential Duties
Is a consultant to the Chief People Officer, leadership team, and employees on HR related issues.
Is a change agent and employee champion, continually assessing and anticipating HR-related needs.
Formulates partnerships across the HR functions to deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
Takes an active role in developing new concepts, according to Viability’s and employee’s needs, promoting high customer satisfaction.
Schedules, prepares, and facilitates New Employee Orientation.
Consults on HR topics while demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the business and its strategies.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred; Associates Degree in Business Administration/Human Resources or High School Diploma and 2-4 years of relevant HR experience required.
Ability to maintain focus on quality while keeping a strong sense of urgency.
Demonstrated proficiency in data entry utilizing software, to include Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, ADP, and email essential.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
