POSITION SUMMARY * Perform training of field service associates, customers, and service partners on all UPS, power, and monitoring systems. Responsible for preparing, conducting, and evaluating technical training programs. Write literature and materials to be used in training programs and design exercises to enhance lectures. Conduct classes regarding safety, security, installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of software, machinery, and equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES * Instruct field service safety and technical classes on UPS, power distribution, and monitoring systems. * Prepare classrooms and lab areas. * Deliver classroom and virtual training to a variety of audiences of various experience levels. * Adapt course materials to support virtual training environments. * Create real-world, relevant training scenarios based on knowledge and experience gained over time. * Modify training delivery based on experience level of the audience. * Model and enforce Vertiv safety guidelines at all times. * Maintain and enforce classroom conduct in accordance with published policies. * Drive the creation of relevant course materials. * Provide support for course development efforts, including product research, providing subject matter expertise, and training content review. * Create, update, and maintain teaching material and lab exercises based on feedback from Field Operations, Technical support, Engineering, and student surveys. * Participate in New Product Development (NPD) activities. * Perform training needs analyses. * Incorporate change notices and safety bulletins into training materials in a timely manner. * Maintain classrooms and training lab equipment in good working condition. * Assist in the management of lab equipment and lab activities. * Maintain safety and test equipment in proper working order and update tracking lists. * Maintain tools, spare parts, and lab equipment in proper working order. * Maintain the classrooms and lab areas. * Continuous Improvement: * Review and integrate feedback from installation teams to continually enhance training programs and methodologies. * Explore and implement new training techniques and approaches based on lessons learned and industry advancements. * Attend professional development opportunities and industry conferences to stay abreast of evolving installation practices and technologies. * Administrative Duties and Travel: * Complete all administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner, including travel-related documentation such as expense reports and trip reports. * Conduct thorough evaluations of training sessions to assess effectiveness and gather insights for improvement. * Order training supplies and materials to enhance instruction programs.
