We are looking to add a Facility Maintenance Technician to our Team! The ideal candidates will have experience in maintenance operations, excellent attendance record and reliable transportation.

We believe success in this position requires individuals who can work independently, manage their time wisely, work and communicate well with others, flexibility and have excellent attention to detail.

What You Will Do

  • Operation minor repair, and maintenance of HVAC related mechanical, electrical, control systems, air handling units, pumps, and motors

  • Perform minor carpentry tasks, replace ceiling tiles, repair, or replace door hardware, locks, panic bars, etc.

  • Perform minor electrical tasks to include bulb and ballast replacement

  • Repair all restrooms fixtures, sweat copper pipe, thread black pipe

  • Clean coils in air handling units and convectors to maintain optimum heat exchange

  • Routine operation and inspection of emergency generator and associated components

  • Requisition necessary material to complete required repairs

  • Routine and preventative maintenance duties including filter changes, lubrication, control, and performance check

  • Inspect mechanical, electrical systems, trace electrical circuits, operate switchgear, record inspections, and write reports to Supervisors

  • Perform any additional duties on an as "required" basis where such duties are within the scope of contractual obligations

  • Receive and respond to service calls. Report to Client's representative on a daily/weekly/on call basis.

Work Location: Westerville, OH 43081

Hours: Monday - Friday; 3:00pm - 11:00pm

About You

  • Valid Driver's License as required to drive any vehicles which may be assigned along with driving skills with up to 1-1/2-ton truck

  • AA in Mechanical Trades or Trade School training in HVAC or equivalent

  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the operation of building central plant equipment, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and/or electronic systems

  • Experience & proven ability to maintain and make minor repairs to building electrical, plumbing, & HVAC auxiliary systems

  • Basic Carpentry skills

  • Familiarity with operation of building auxiliary systems i.e. fire-life safety, vertical lift equipment and general building repairs

  • Ability to write, execute written and oral instructions and perform mathematic calculations

  • Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedures typical for maintenance operations

  • Ability to safely wear a respirator, climb ladders, enter confined spaces, lift heavy objects, and perform other physically demanding tasks

  • Safely and skillfully use all types of related hand and power tools

  • U.S. EPA certification as needed to maintain HVAC equipment

  • Ability to pass a Background Check

  • Punctual and Dependable

    This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, reach at or below shoulder level, use foot or leg controls, gross manipulation, drive, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb ramps or stairs, climb ladders, utilize near and far visual activity, speak, hear, and lift or carry up to 35 lbs.

    This position requires individuals to be able to drive. This role requires extensive walking indoors and some outdoors.
