Role description: Arcadis is searching for Entry Level Electrical Engineers with an interest in designing electrical systems for water/wastewater facilities and other industrial facilities to join our Columbus, OH team! The primary focus of this role will be to provide technical and design consulting services with a focus on electrical power distribution, standby power systems, lighting systems, data communications, equipment relay logic and instrumentation and controls systems to support projects for the Water Division team. Electrical Engineer will report to a Project Manager or Senior Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background and the ability to work productively independently and as a member of a highly efficient team. This position requires the successful candidate to be performance-driven, team-oriented and client-focused with strong written/verbal communication skills and an impressive work ethic. Role accountabilities: As an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects involving the electrical design and coordination of industrial and municipal projects, with a specific focus on water and wastewater treatment plant-related buildings and industrial facilities. Your responsibilities will include establishing design criteria, performing design calculations, and developing one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans, and specifications. You will also be responsible for reviewing manufacturer information to ensure compliance with specifications. Additionally, you will have t he chance to increase your involvement in tasks such as cost estimating, code review, field investigation, and writing reports and memos related to electrical engineering. During the construction phase, you will provide engineering services by reviewing equipment submittals, shop drawings, and responding to contractor RFI's. This position offers an opportunity to apply your electrical engineering skills and gain hands-on experience in a variety of projects within the field. Qualifications & Experience: Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, or a closely related field of study.
  • EIT or ability to obtain EIT within one (1) year from date of hire.
  • Basic understanding and proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project and Outlook).
  • Experience using SKM Power Tools or other power systems analysis software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of power, power distribution, motor control, block diagrams, and variable frequency drives.
  • Basic understanding of electrical codes and NFPA standards.
  • Knowledge of Instrumentation, PLC controls and SCADA network architecture.
  • Active participation in regional and/or national professional associations.
