Genesis Corp Data Center Operations Engineer I - New Albany, OH in Westerville, Ohio
New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is actively seeking a resource for a 6-month contract position with a possible contract conversion or extension. This position will work onsite in New Albany, OH. The Data Center Technical Operations Engineer, Facility will be responsible for Data Center Engineering Operations within a Data Center including risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management, and metric reporting. Responsibilities: Will be working on a team that supports the Data Center Operations, and mechanical and electrical infrastructure of the data center facility. This is a 24/7 support team, maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring building, and building management. Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of critical facility operations and maintenance. Operate and manage both routine and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc. May assist in projects to increase current facility efficiency. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or Technical (Military/ Trade School) Degree and relevant experience. 2+ years of Mechanical and/or Electrical Operations experience 1-2 years of Data Center Engineering Experience Familiar with and utilize Building Management Systems Computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.) Troubleshooting electrical distribution, operational rounds, monitoring equipment manager vendor check-in, and safety compliance. Experienced with Ticket queues Preferred experience working in critical environments Strong attention to detail. Microsoft Office experience. Ability to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment.
