Primary Purpose
The Claims Administrator, Risk Management position maintains all auto/general liability/ workers compensation files current and complies with applicable regulations.
Essential Functions
Review incident reports. Request additional information, supporting documents, photos, videos etc. to establish a complete investigation
Enter information into Claims Management System (CMS), and utilize CMS to report, manage, and diary caseload, thru claim resolution
Evaluate each incident/injury to determine if In-House claim, or report to Third Party Administrator (TPA), using established claims protocol
Adjust (determine liability, settle, deny etc.) in-house auto, general liability, or small internal injury claims to closure
Maintain communication with Operations Managers, Safety Managers, claimant/USS customer, and/or injured worker
Coordinate and administer ongoing investigations, relative to worker’s compensation, auto and general liability insurance claims and work with internal and external partners to establish and execute action plans to achieve favorable claim resolution. Review claims status and action plans using advanced problem resolution skills
Request/review injured worker medical status reports. Provide Wage Statements and other information, as requested by WC adjuster
Negotiate return to work with our without job accommodations via the claimant's physician Human Resources, Ops Manager, and ADJ
Communicate any significant changes, problems, or concerns to Claims Manager
Request and monitor settlement requests – provide claim summaries to Risk Manager/Sr. Corporate Counsel
Work closely with TPA adjusters and Medical Providers to monitor the progression of claims to final resolution
Pursue 3rd party claims, to seek subrogation for USS damages
Manage and maintain a record of all losses and assist all risk management and safety personnel to reduce all losses for advocate sites
Coordinate, facilitate, and participate in claim meetings and reviews with internal and external partners
Support Legal Dept. with litigated claims- coordinate requests
Perform other duties as assigned

Property and Casualty insurance or combination of equivalent education and expereince
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of data management systems and processes (i.e., Outlook, Claims Management Systems, Excel Spreadsheets, Internet, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with people in a wide range of positions
Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills Ability to document work in progress
Ability to read and interpret documents (i.e., accident forms, medical/legal documents, etc.)
Bilingual skills are a plus (English and Spanish)

$45,000.00/Hr. – $85,000.00/Hr. / year

At United Site Services, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
