State of Utah - Jobs Licensed Clinical Therapist (May underfi in WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah

*NEW $6,000 SIGN ON BONUS IS NOW AVAILABLE**

*(Must be hired as a Licensed Clinical Therapist to receive the bonus. $3,000 will be paid upon hire,and an additional $3,000 will be paid after the first year of employment. Those hired as a Caseworker III would be eligible for the bonus once becoming fully licensed as an LCT) * 

Position may be underfilled as a Caseworker III  (Starting salary

$31.49 -$39.46) upon the qualifications of the applicant.

 

*The Caseworker III shall be Licensed as Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor or a Certified Social Worker.

*Note: If this position is filled as a Caseworker III,the selected candidate shall obtain full license as a Clinical Social Worker or Clinical Mental Health Counselor within thirty (30) months from date of hire.

The Utah Department of Corrections Programming Division that works with substance use and mental ill offenders is looking for Licensed Clinical Therapist's (LCT) to provide treatment to offenders in our Elevate Female Substance Use Treatment Program. This position would be located at the Utah State Prison in Salt Lake City,Utah.

Job Duties:

The Utah Department of Corrections is dedicated to helping individuals with substance use disorders to achieve lasting recovery. We are committed to providing evidence-based treatment and support to our clients,and we are looking for a skilled and compassionate Substance Use Therapist to join our team.

As a Substance Use Therapist with the Utah Department of Corrections,you will play a vital role in helping individuals on their journey to recovery. You will be responsible for conducting clinical assessments,formulating treatment plans,and delivering specialized individual and group psychotherapy services. This position requires a strong commitment to improving the lives of those struggling with addiction.

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Hold a License as a Psychologist,Clinical Social Worker,Marriage and Family Therapist,or Clinical Mental Health Counselor.
  • Speak and Write effectively.
  • Have knowledge of psychological or mental health,and social factors tha t may contribute to the client's situation.
  • Have understanding of how to use case histories of client's/residents to further understand client population.
  • Have knowledge of human behavior and performance,individual differences in ability,personality,and interests.
  • Have knowledge and experience with a diverse population.
  • Have the ability to maintain detailed records.
  • Have knowledge of principles,methods,and procedures for diagnosis,treatment,and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunction. 
  • Have the ability to evaluate the ongoing needs of the client,build treatment plans and monitor progress.
