West Seneca, NY. Sonwil Distribution Center Inc. CDL driver/Regional, OTR. FT. Benefits. $14.00-$15.00/Hour.

Job purpose: The OTR/Regional Driver will be responsible for safely operating a CDL required tractor trailer in a yard, customers as well as ours, also, while on the road. Components of this position include working with management to receive schedules along with following DOT and company safety policies. CDL Drivers will be required to maintain precise delivery logs and complete required paperwork.

Duties and responsibilities: Safely operate a CDL required tractor trailer. Secure the freight on the trailer. Maintain necessary records as required by DOT, Company policy and Client. Ensure timely pick up and deliveries. Daily communication via telephone calls and text to management. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Ability to operate a tractor trailer; CDLA required. Ability to operate a tablet for ELD requirements. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Work independently and with team in fast paced environment.

Physical requirements: This position will require the ability to sit for long periods of time, good visual ability, and the ability to hear and listen; frequently required to get into and out of a tractor trailer; occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, bend, lift up to 50 pounds and to use hand and arm motion to crank a dolly for the trailer. NOTE: The physical requirements are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
