JOB REQUIREMENTS: Controller Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Acts as the first point of contact for staff regarding questions on policies, procedures and addressing concerns as they arise. 2. Understand and support all bank-wide initiatives in a positive manner. 3. Develop and maintain proficiency with job-related systems and equipment utilized. 4. Keeps up to date on River Bank\'s products, services, policies and procedures in order to be a valuable resource at assigned branch. 5. Actively develops team through continuous coaching and training on site, scheduling additional training with the Training Department as necessary. 6. Works with Human Resources to develop coaching and performance improvement plans as warranted to ensure employees receive the support they need to be successful in their roles at the first sign of performance falling below expectations. 7. Actively participates in the completion of performance reviews with employees by assigned deadline. 8. Lead and oversee the company\'s financial accounting and reporting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. 9. Responsible for the completion of financial statements at the holding company level. 10. Files the FR Y-6, FR Y-9, and FR Y-10 for the holding company. 11. Completes and files the Call Report in a timely manner. 12. Responsible for completing the Personal Property Statements. 13. Compiles ALCO reports on a quarterly basis. 14. Prepares board reports on a monthly basis. 15. Responsible for reviewing quarterly payroll reports. 16. Review daily and monthly balancing reports. 17. Responsible for Fixed Asset and Depreciation Schedule. 18. Quarterly Filings with external organizations at the bank level. 19. Posting of transactions. 20. Creates efficiencies within the Accounting Department. 21. Responsible for calculating the Fringe Benefits. 22. Assist with completing the Budget for the following year. 23. Directs the annual financial audit. 24. Responsible for ensuring the holding company tax estimates payments are made. 25. Responsible for compiling tax documents. 26. Works directly with Auditors for other various audits throughout the year. 27. Works directly with Examiners throughout the year. 28. Works with and assists employees at all levels of the bank. 29. Ensures appropriate procedures for financial reporting, record keeping and documentation that maintains files in an orderly fashion. 30. Recognizes areas in need of support and actively proposes solutions to Management and Human Resources as warranted; assisting with the development of tools as needed. 31. Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training new employees with the assistance of the Human Resources and Training departments. 32. Supports the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) by actively participating in bank sponsored and community events or organizations. 33. Responsible for the timely reviewing of employee time cards and payroll changes, as well as additional employee paperwork as needed. 34. Ensures the confidentiality of all company records and information. 35. Complies with all government laws, policies and regulations. 36.
