Mesa Energy Systems is a HVAC mechanical services company that provides fully integrated solutions for preventative maintenance and repair, upgrading existing mechanical, electrical, and controls systems to provide the most efficient economic solutions to meet customer expectations.

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Familiar with different HVAC system types and their applications.

  • HVAC systems selection, sizing, and design (ductwork and piping).

  • Experienced with Mechanical Codes and Energy Efficiency Standards.

  • Engineering experience with energy efficiency, developing or supporting performance-based projects or energy services.

  • Perform Heating, Cooling Load Calculations, and Title 24 Compliance calculations using Energy-Pro programs.

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines.

  • Ability to write technical proposals and reports.

Job Specifications (incl. Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • 5+ years’ experience in HVAC Design.

  • Experience in the mechanical construction industry is a plus.

  • EIT is highly preferred, and a PE is a plus.

  • Knowledge of OSHPD codes are a plus

  • Independent decision-making is required.

  • Computer skills using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Knowledge of AutoCAD MEP or Revit is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Compensation Range: $120,000 - $130,000 per year
