Tecomet Human Resource Intern in West Palm Beach, Florida

Job Summary: We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven HR intern to assist our HR department with administrative and HR-related tasks. The HR intern’s responsibilities will include updating job description to align with job harmonization project. Assisting with HR documents and support of HR Team Members. As an HR intern you will work with different HR associates and managers to assist with HR activities across the organization. HR Intern should be detail-oriented and able to demonstrate excellent administrative and organizational skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Update Tecomet job descriptions to support job harmonization project.

  • Assist in the HRIS system updates, including data entry with accuracy.

  • Assist in maintaining employee records (I9, offer letter, employee files, etc.)

  • Assist with personnel administration, employee information.

  • Assisting with staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters.

  • Support initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and satisfaction.

  • Assist with inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.

  • Participate in HR-related projects and research as needed.

The core focus of this role and success for outcome of the role is completing job descriptions to align to new job titles (compliantly) and assist in other administrative HR duties such as policy reviews, templates, Intranet, HR calendar creation, Community outreach capturing, and more.

Qualification Requirements

Educational/Training Requirement:

  • Must have a minimum of High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).

  • Working towards a Bachelor's degree in human resource management or studying toward a degree in human resource management or related field.

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) preferred

  • The ability to work as part of a team.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent administrative, time management and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrates good judgment including understanding of when to act, when to escalate, or when to request assistance from other staff members.

  • Excellent time management and organization skills.

  • Effective in prioritizing and executing tasks

  • Should be passionate about pursuing a career in HR.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • No certification required

Physical Requirements:

  • Well lighted, heated/or air-conditioned indoor office/production setting with adequate ventilation.

  • Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature.

  • Ability to maneuver throughout the facility/facilities as needed.

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers.

  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures including wearing proper PPE
