Job Overview:

RWJ Barnabas Health is looking for a Director within our Health and Wellness Department.

Clinical Director of Employee Health and Wellness is responsible for providing clinical leadership, planning, quality assurance, project coordination, and management to develop and support RWJBH s Employee Health and Wellness facilities across the system.

The Clinical Director will oversee clinical staff, APNs, RNs, LPNs, and CMAs, within the Employee Health & Wellness department.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Licensure as an Advanced Practical Nurse ,APN, required; Bachelor s degree, BSN, BA, BS, required,

  • A minimum of five years of direct hands-on experience working in occupational/employee health, primary care and/or urgent care settings required

  • BLS/CPR and ACLS Certification

Preferred:

  • Master s degree , MSN, MPH, MPA, preferred,

  • Seven to Ten years of management experience in acute care settings preferred,

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • Department of Transportation ,DOT, Certification preferred, without DOT certification, it must be obtained within 6 months of employment,License

Essential Functions:

  • Clinical Director will have clinical responsibilities, providing a few shifts per month in our cooperate care locations,

  • This position is accountable for clinical staffing, standardization or implementation of clinical policies, desk procedures, protocols, training, orientation, and staff clinical competencies,

  • Will collaborate with Site Managers to complete clinical staff performance evaluations,

  • Clinical Director of Employee Health and Wellness will collaborate with senior operational and physician leadership in administering and coordinating departmental activities,

  • Position will have a dual reporting role to the EHW senior clinical and senior operational leadership

  • Oversees the clinical support team in providing timely, efficient, and quality services to our employees, internal and external customers

  • Works collaboratively with the Site Managers on the day to day oversight and coordination of the clinical operations of the employee health centers

  • Institutes sound medical judgment to advise and support occupational medicine initiatives and services, including acting as primary support for nursing team members for medical guidance

  • Assist Senior Leadership with standardization ,or implementation thereof, of clinical protocols, services, and clinical staff competencies, quality data and metrics

  • Conducts formal and informal meetings with their clinical teams to achieve clinical, quality, and operational goals,

  • Refines, manages and optimizes processes and workflows that ensure KPI achievement for the Employee Health & Wellness and occupational medicine programs directly, and the full client portfolio more broadly

  • Assist the senior leadership in developing training content and strategy that meet job site and healthcare compliance and quality standards

  • Assists the Senior Vice President s efforts to establish, track and manage compliance and quality assurance for preventative medicine and wellness initiatives

  • Acts to have a positive impact on all internal and external customers,

  • Works as a collaborative member of the Leadership team in striving for Service Excellence

  • Manages compliance excellence strategies and works with site Leadership to manage standard operating procedures for all aspects of the department, focusing on regulatory requirements and process efficiency

  • Key areas of emphasis include OSHA, NJDOHSS, CDC, and TJC ,amongst other regulatory agencies, compliance regarding safety and infection control, customer business planning, customer satisfaction, and industry benchmarks,

  • Coaches counsels and evaluates the performance of direct reports

  • Serves as a liaison with RWJBH hospital s safety, quality, and infection control departments and committees,

  • Assists the Senior Leadership in Developing, implementing and monitoring actions or process improvements as appropriate
