Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania Summer School Classroom Assistant, West Mifflin in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania
*Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania *is a non-profit organization looking to hire a dynamic part-time Level III or Level II Classroom Assistant to work with special needs children ages 3-8 years old at our South location in West Mifflin, PA. We are now hiring for our 6 week summer session working 20 hours per week. The hourly rate is $23-$26 per hour.
POSITION-Part-time Classroom Assistant III or II
Classroom Assistant III
- Bachelors (Required)
- PA Professional Teaching Certificate in Special Education, Elementary Education and/or Early Childhood Education (Required)
- Special Education Experience: 1 Year (Preferred)
Classroom Assistant II
- Associates (Required)
- Special Education Experience: 1 Year (Preferred)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-Part-time Classroom Assistant III or II
- Planning and implementing activities to enhance students skills.
- Assisting in implementing the students IEP.
- Providing a safe and accepting classroom.
- Providing 1:1 instruction as needed.
- Assisting in the instructional program, integration program and behavior management of students
Extended School Year
- June 24- August 2, 2024 (No School Thurs. July 4th and Fri. July 5th)
- Work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., 4-hours days.
