Detailed Job Description:

Quality Manager Job Description:

  • Act as the voice of the customer, internal and external, to ensure quality and on-time-delivery objectives are met for all teams and processes within Butler

  • Maintain Butler’s existing AS 9100 quality management system certifications

  • Facilitate and verify results from RCCA (Root Cause and Corrective Action) activities when necessary

  • Oversee the distribution and analysis of customer satisfaction surveys on a quarterly basis

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities as requested by individuals within the organization

  • Compile and present to management within Butler on the status of the quality management system per the requirements of AS 9100

  • Facilitate project planning on all statement of work programs, and ensure that all requirements of the Butler engineering process are being met and adhered to

  • Collaborate on discussions pertaining to customer requests that are related to improvement and/or metrics

  • Act as the subject matter expert on how to systematically approach addressing issues

  • Maintain the Butler document libraries to ensure that released documentation is up to date and accurate

  • Facilitate training for processes as required, but specifically for awareness trainings for the requirements of AS 9100

    Required:

    AS9100 lead auditor certification preferred

    At least 4 years in quality under either AS9100 or ISO 9001

    Have worked with and engineering and quality management (not only manufacturing)

    Skills:

  • Experience with analyzing metrics and data to find trends

  • Comfortability with presenting to top management and communicating with top management on a regular basis

  • Ability to think outside the box when faced with complex issues; Ability to consider multiple perspectives when determining the optimal solution to a given problem

  • Passion for continuous improvement, effectuated through a systematic approach and with the input from multiple parties (In most cases)

  • Strong technical writing skills, specifically in the area of standard works, processes, forms, etc.

  • Soft skills such as empathy and positive communication are required in this role, but are especially necessary for internal auditing

  • Comfortable navigating a multiple week audit with an accredited auditor that is assessing Butler to AS 9100
