Overview

The MRI Technologist is responsible for ensuring MRI Safety, training Operators, and assisting in research and development in regards to the Siemens Free.Max .55T MRI installed within Cook Advanced Technology

Responsibilities

  • Establish and enforce safety guidelines and procedures for the MRI Laboratory
  • Train new and existing Primary and Secondary MRI Operators
    • Schedule and perform Secondary MRI Operator safety training seminars
    • Schedule (at request) Primary MRI Operator Test-Out Exams
  • Perform routine Quality Assurance and Verification of the MRI and accessory devices, evaluating results, and maintaining documentation
  • Ensure the privacy of Class 1 and Class 2 data according to Cook policy
  • Securely maintain records of safety documentation and Protected Health Information
  • Order supplies and Personal Protective Equipment necessary for safe and effective operation within the MRI Laboratory

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Education in Radiation Sciences or Magnetic Resonance Imaging
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Masters or Phd desired
  • Organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology in humans and animals
  • Prior Siemens MRI Experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of MRI Physics
  • Understanding of safety procedures regarding safety in an environment
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Cook AT does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN) for this employment position.
