Kelly Services Quality Engineer in West Fargo, North Dakota

Title: Quality Engineer

Location – West Fargo, ND

Contract – 6 Months

Description:

Designs plans and performs verifications for parts assemblies or products appearance dimension and functionality according to inspection plans engineering standards and blueprints for manufactured and purchased material of high complexity. Improves quality activities by using quality systems with a complete scope and depth.

Job Duties:

  • Perform advanced inspection and test as necessary to confirm if electronic assembly returns meet specifications and then identify specific reference designator or circuits with detailed findings.

  • Core focus of analysis on new release electronic assembly returns, including advanced displays, sensors or controllers. Analysis of returns with new or advanced technology.

  • When required, complete rework of returns per company and industry standards

  • Document analysis results and complete Return Material Authorization record for each return.

  • Inform quality department of process or design problems and provide recommendation for and assist in the corrective action.

  • Conduct manual test of advanced electronic circuits and PCBs according to engineering instructions.

  • Communicate advanced findings internally and externally in a professional and effective manner.

  • Perform other tasks as required from supervisor and train other personnel.

  • Complete advanced tests beyond the functional test to gain more detail for returns that do not meet specification.

  • Use engineering tools to capture and document advanced data and provide to engineering.

  • Develop new tools for warranty analysis in collaboration with engineering, both internal and external.

  • Direct the work of other technicians and set priorities to facilitate completion of warranty analysis work.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • A.S. in Electronics or a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification or equivalent experience

  • EXPERIENCE:

  • Required: Minimum three years of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering

  • Preferred: Seven or more years of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering

  • 1st shift hours 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM but the manager is flexible with 8:00 AM 5:00 PM.
