Brief Department Description

We are searching for a dynamic finance professional to step into an Internal Controls Specialist role within RTX Enterprise Services. This position represents an exciting and challenging opportunity for someone who seeks to build on their existing accounting, internal controls, and/or audit experience through in-depth exposure to a fast-paced international business.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, ES Controls & Compliance, this role will have the opportunity to work on new project initiatives in support of Enterprise Service’s continued growth.

Primary Responsibilities associated with this role encompass the following:

  • Perform annual Sarbanes-Oxley testing of internal controls across the ES Business Services functions (Procurement, Accounts Payable, Order to Cash, Accounting, and People Services)

  • Support the Enterprise Services Sarbanes-Oxley program for establishing and maintaining adequate internal control over financial reporting.

  • Assist in completing the annual entity-level risk assessments and entity-level internal control self-assessments.

  • Facilitate and/or participate in the entity-level Accounting & Controls Assessments (ACAs).

  • Support the monthly internal controls and compliance monitoring and reporting to evaluate effectiveness and remedial action requirements/guidance.

  • Provide guidance on RTX Policy, accounting and internal control matters.

  • Support RTX Internal and external audits.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in finance and accounting.

  • Solid working knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization.

Additional Skills and Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

  • Ability to solve problems and recommend comprehensive solution.

  • Proven experience in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA/CMA or CPA/CMA candidate preferred.

  • Experience in SAP and/or HFM

  • Perform assigned duties in a self-directed, timely manner.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage priorities.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills preferred.

  • Strong mindset focusing on identifying issues or inefficiencies and driving operational improvements.

Experience and Education

  • This role typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or or related field and 5 years or relevant experience or an advanced degree and 3 years

Work Authorization Status

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools/sites that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
