Principal Responsibilities:1. Give every guest outstanding guest service by providing a guest friendly environment, and following our GUEST Approach. Greet every guest as they walk in the front door, Understanding their needs, Eye contact, Smile and Thanking the guest sincerely.2. Must achieve and maintain all company standards when it comes to profitability and yearly goals.3. Oversee cash management procedures which include PDI, Sales, Receiving and Coin ordering.4. Work with the store manager to oversee proper handling of all products which includes, but is not limited to, ordering, receiving, rotating, freshness, quality, quantity and returning out of code and damaged product in a timely fashion.5. Ensure accurate stock levels by performing precise monthly audit counts and monitoring ordering of product and supplies with a computer and or handheld device. Review the results on the store’s computer and or handheld and make necessary changes.6. Manage all safety programs and ensure proper execution and compliance. Report all customer and employee incidences in the appropriate time frame.7. Follow merchandising Planograms at all times.8. Maintain all equipment in clean and proper operating condition.9. Clearly communicate and enforce all policies and procedure and operating guidelines. Take appropriate disciplinary action if needed by following Heritage’s counseling process.10. Attend any meetings required by a member of management.11. Work with the Manager and hold regular team meetings.12. Walk store twice a day, at the start of their shift and towards the end of the shift.13. He or she must ensure that the job list is completed accurately on their shift.14. He or she must handle and solve all guest complaints during his/her shift.15. Recruit, hire, train and continual development all Team Members.16. Participate in the training and continual development of Guest Service Manager.17. Continually evaluate and react to employee performance issues.18. Participate in employee evaluations and checklists on a timely basis.19. Properly implement and execute all company programs.20. Maintain the store property to Board of Health and company sanitation standards.21. Must be able and willing to use the slicer to cut various types of meats and cheeses.22. Must be able and willing to make all types of cold and hot sandwiches.23. Comply with federal and state laws by requesting personal identification from a guest who is purchasing tobacco product.24. Follows directives given by the Manager, Supervisor or any member of the IMPACT Team.25. Able and willing to run the store in the absence of the store Manager.26. Treat everyone fairly and do not discriminate towards anyone.27. Project positive, enthusiastic and professional attitude at all times and maintain the values and principles of Heritage’s.Requirements1. High School diploma or High School Equivalency.2. Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.3. Willing to accept responsibility in all facets of the positon which includes but not limited to store’s performance, overall performance of the team and their personal actions and behavior.4. Able to process information and merchandise through computer system and POS register system.5. Able to communicate with employees and guests.6. Able to read, count, write and accurately complete all documentation.7. Able to freely access all areas of the store including the front of the store, the back of the store and register area without accommodations.8. Able to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.9. Able to climb ladders.10. Able to stand for long periods of time.11. Ability to move, lift and handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 50lbs without restrictions and on a consistent basis.12. Able to perform the following physical activities occasionally during the shift; bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, pushing reaching above your head and reaching below waist.13. Able to report to work on time and open the store on time, when it snows and inclement weather and the ability to work flexible hours/days/nights/weekends/holidays in order to oversee the store operations. He/she must work a minimum of 45 hours per week. The 45 hours are made up of a minimum of five days and one of them must be a weekend day or night. The nine hours start a half hour prior to the store’s opening. If an Assistant chooses to go in earlier they are permitted to go in a minimum of one hour prior to when the store opens. The Assistant must work opposite the Manager and GSM. Store hours are 5 am to 10 pm Monday-Friday and 6 am to10 pm Saturday and Sunday.
