ASTM International Intern, Social Media Producer in West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania

Role Description: The ASTM Multimedia team is seeking a motivated individual who is interested in social media marketing/communications to assist in growing the engagement with ASTM multimedia products and services.  This position will also be responsible for content generation, distribution, and evaluation of social media efforts.

Learning Objectives: Provided access to ASTM's social media resources, the Social Media Producer will analyze and generate a strategy to increase measurable impressions and engagement with the ASTM Instagram account. Provided access to ASTM's social media resources, the Social Media Producer will analyze existing ASTM social media accounts and generate recommendations for meaningful engagement as a standards development organization. Provided access to ASTM's multimedia production resources, the Social Media Producer will generate various video/photo content for the purposes of promoting ASTM products on social media. Provided access to social media platforms, examine high engagement social media accounts within ASTM industry space (STEM-related, business competitors, peers, and associated content) and aggregate findings into a presentation including campaign strategies and methods of the researched social media accounts.

General Responsibilities: Research and analyze trends and methods for promoting products in the SDO industry through social media Collaborating with Multimedia and other departments on product-promotion social media projects Examine our footage archive and identify qualified video to be used in social media promotional projects Create content for social media postings related to product-promotion Support the Multimedia Services Promotional Campaign for 2024

Education: Must be enrolled in a related Bachelor's degree program as a rising Junior or Senior at an accredited College or University.

Key Requirements & Competencies: Experience with Social Media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X(Twitter) Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite Premiere Pro (video production) Photoshop (graphic design) After Effects (motion graphics, non-essential) Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Experience with Motion Design oriented towards Social Media Good interpersonal communications skills

Physical Requirements: Frequent and close visual work at desk or computer. Frequent sitting and working at desk. Frequent verbal and written communication with team and other stakeholders by phone or video conferencing. Ability to lift 25 lbs or more

Additional Information: Some in-person appearances may be required for Video Production purposes in ASTM HQ in Conshohocken, PA (non-essential)

Time Requirements & Compensation: Remote Only 35 hours per week, May/June through August. Compensation: $18.00/Hour
