Peerless Fence Shop Laborer/Driver in West Chicago, Illinois

Position Overview

The Shop Laborer/Driver position is responsible for supporting efficient, accurate, and organized operations in our yard facility. This position is responsible for staging material pick ups and making local deliveries. The Shop Laborer/Driver is primarily focused on the following objectives:

  • Support efficient daily operations in shop, yard facilities

  • Stage and deliver material with accuracy

The Shop Laborer/Driver role supports and embraces a culture committed to delivering the Peerless Promise with Quality, Service & Integrity.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Prepare, stage, and load material required for next day's project installations

  • Unload material from delivery trucks

Required Skills

  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic

  • Ability to prioritize tasks

  • Maintain an organized work environment

  • Maintain a current and valid driver's license, including class C license

  • Capable of lifting up to 80 pounds

  • Willingness and ability to work in all weather conditions

  • Ability to communicate clearly, respectfully

Preferred Skills:

  • Current and valid forklift certification
