Under the direction of a Plant Manager, the Production Manager directs the daily operations of the blow-molding facility to ensure efficiency and safety, while ensuring all applicable regulatory requirements are met.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate activities to establish production requirements and prepare production plans to meet customer needs.

  • Forecast weekly resin requirements based on customer demand and communicate with corporate purchasing.

  • Analyze customer requirements to optimize equipment and personnel utilization.

  • Maintain inventory of raw materials, finished goods, resin, color, consumables, and regrind/lump.

  • Establish tracking systems to measure on-time delivery.

  • Support customer service, sales representatives, and plant leaders with work order status.

  • Manage company and plant capacity models for production lines.

  • Conduct month-end inventory processes and recommend ideas for inventory reduction.

  • Maintain supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.

  • Manage plant plant budget and submit to the corporate office.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the manufacturing industry.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent organizational skills.
