Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Network Security Administrator in West Chester, Pennsylvania, United States. This role is within the telecom industry and includes responsibilities such as the design, installation, configuration, maintenance, and break/fix of security infrastructure and application components.

Responsibilities:

• Design, install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot security infrastructure and application components

• Ensure alignment of network security design, controls, processes and standards with overall accepted IT security practices

• Provide operations and engineering support for critical network and application security systems and services including Anti-Virus, Intrusion Detection System/Intrusion Prevention System, Data Loss Prevention, Anti-Malware, content/URL filtering, compliance/standards, vulnerability, threat detection, and security event management

• Proactively maintain, monitor, and improve network and application security, ensuring timely incident detection and response

• Collaborate with security and technical teams to design, deliver and maintain highly available, performance and cost-effective network and application security systems and services

• Write and contribute to project plans, network and application security engineering level documentation, and develop detailed test plans

• Participate in IT Security assessments, risk analysis, and reporting

• Provide on-call and after-hours coverage as necessary and travel as required to Data Center facilities for equipment upgrades and maintenance

Skills:

• Familiarity with Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco ASA, Cisco Access Points, Cisco ASA Firewall, Cisco Certified Network

• Experience with network access control, dot1X and MAB

• Experience with managing content/URL filtering and DNS layer protection

• Strong understanding/experience with network infrastructure and intent-based networking

• Ability to learn new technologies and adopt new security tools

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Strong organizational skills, excellent communication, people skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Requirements • Must possess a deep understanding of network security principles and techniques

• Proficiency in managing Fortinet Firewalls is required

• Demonstrated expertise in operating Cisco ASA and Cisco Access Points

• Experience with Cisco ASA Firewall is a necessity

• Should hold a Cisco Certified Network certification

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot network issues

• Strong knowledge of current security risks and protocols

• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with different levels of staff

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects while meeting strict deadlines
