International Autos Milwaukee Parts Shipping and Receiving Clerk in West Allis, Wisconsin

We are looking for a shipping & receiving person for our busy parts department.  This is a fast paced position that requires multiple skills including but not limited to lifting, carrying, sorting, light computer use, counting and mechanical skills.  This person will be trained on the job and must have great communication skills, ability to work both independent an in a group.  This position will perform tasks such as picking parts, putting stock away, moving tires and large boxes, placing parts in proper bin and in proper order.  Check parts in using both manual and scan gun.   This position requires prioritization of tasks given, the ability to communicate with others at a high level and use common tools and equipment found in an industrial work area.  Items such as common hand tools, 2 wheel dollies, battery powered hand tools and pallet jacks are used on a daily basis.  This position is mainly an inside the building, but does have requirements outside in the elements as well.   The Parts Shipping and Receiving Associate verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Assures proper control of parts inventory and related administrative functions. Responsibilities * Count, weigh or measure items on incoming and outgoing shipments, verity information against invoices, orders and other records * Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates * Keep all bins, aisles and storage areas clean and clearly labeled * Maintain receiving and shipping records, delivery truck maintenance records and returned parts records * Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages * Ensure that outgoing shipments meet specifications * Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies Qualifications * High School Diploma or Equivalent * Must have a valid driver's license * Ability to use parts department computer system * Good communication skills * Ability to operate an automobile * Lifting of up to 50lbs on a constant basis * Lifting of more than 50lbs on a daily basis * Carrying parts up and down stairs * moving by carrying, pushing or loading on a daily basis
