City of Wenatchee Temporary Worker - Storm/Sewer Collections in Wenatchee, Washington

Seeking a motivated, independent and experienced temporary worker primarily to assist in tending to the City South Yard including monitoring and processing material loads that come into the facility.   Secondary duties may include assisting the Division crew with basic labor tasks.  

Full-time, up to 40 hours per week. Up to a maximum of six (6) months.

Benefits

The City of Wenatchee has adopted a policy that measures the 'full-time' status of temporary employees over 12- months for purposes of benefit eligibility. Therefore, seasonal employees with temporary assignments of less than 6-months are not eligible for any benefits with the exception of participation in the Washington State Department of Retirement System (DRS). There will be no retroactivity applied to benefits or any other employment terms and conditions should regular employment be offered at a future date.

Essential Job Duties

  • Cleaning and maintaining the South Yard (parts, material and equipment).
  • Organizing and maintaining material bins.
  • Tending to, cleaning and maintaining, the Decant Facility.
  • Loading decant waste into bins.
  • Cleaning decant settling ponds.
  • Cleaning decant bathroom.
  • Supporting Division crew with basic labor duties as needed.

Qualification Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current and active WA Driver License
  • Experience and skills in safely and efficiently operating a Loader and Skid Steer
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and temperature extremes
