Position Description: The Group EHS Manager will ensure that Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to in order to achieve/maintain a safe work environment and reduce/eliminate workplace incidents/injuries and compliance with local, state and federal environmental and safety regulations. Participate/lead incident investigations, implementing corrective actions as indicated. Champion and support programs and initiatives for EHS systems, processes and activities designed to raise awareness and reduce risks to ensure safety of employees. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities: Participate/lead incident investigations, implementing corrective actions as indicated. Maintain and update the requirements and recordkeeping of environmental regulatory required plans (i.e. SPCC plan, SWPP plan, RCRA, Contingency Plan, Waste Minimization, etc.) and schedule, conduct and track required training. Maintain and update the requirements of OSHA required plans (Lockout Tagout, Hot Work, Respiratory protection, Confined Space, Electrical Safety Standards, Hearing Conservation, Hazard Communication, etc.) and schedule, conduct and track required training. Ability to work hands-on and independently, and to champion successful EHS initiatives. Collaborate with New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure new programs are designed and implemented in accordance with safety standards and practices. Provide counsel to all members of the manufacturing team in regard to health, safety and environmental questions, concerns, suggestions, etc. Oversee and participate with incident (near-miss, injury, etc.) investigations, including conducting interviews, doing research, generating corrective actions and monitoring to ensure elimination/reduction of repeat incidents. Coordinate ergonomic assessments and Industrial Hygiene activities, manage/implement actions and recommendations, as appropriate. Collaborate with regional and corporate EHS functions to conduct periodic audits and ensure findings are addressed. Promote awareness of and compliance to EHS policies and regulatory standards through a variety of communication methods, e.g. bulletin board postings, trainings, periodic EHS events, webinars, meetings, etc. Plan and implement programs to train employees in relevant regulatory requirements.
