Role Description Form Energy is hiring an experienced professional to manage the development and execution of Form's global supply chain strategy for critical plastic parts used in Form's pioneering iron-air battery systems. This role reports to the Sr. Manager of Global Supply Management (GSM). As part of our GSM team, you will be involved in researching markets, identifying and engaging with suppliers, developing and executing sourcing strategies, and managing key supplier relationships in collaboration with key cross-functional teams. This opportunity is based out of Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV. Relocation assistance is available. What you'll do:
Own the plastic parts category at Form (with a focus on injection molded, thermoformed, rotomolded, and extruded plastic components), including commercial relationships and contracts within our supply base and the broader value chain
Collaborate closely with Form's Leadership, Supply Chain, Engineering and Strategic Supply teams to define and drive execution of Form's plastic parts sourcing strategy
Negotiate and deliver favorable commercial terms for plastic parts that optimize costs, lead times, and risk to Form by managing the end-to-end sourcing process from supplier development through qualification, negotiation, and contracting
Secure best-in-class pricing for plastic parts through detailed price analysis and negotiations, continual cost reductions, cost avoidance, and logistics optimization
Monitor current category market conditions, evaluating supplier capacities and competitive landscapes, technology roadmaps and supply/demand challenges & opportunities
